Rockport Steel, located on the coast of Maine, has been in business for 30 years.  Starting out with just a couple of employees building boats, we have expanded our metal fabrication shop specializing in boat construction, railings, fencing, structural steel, CNC plasma and flame cutting, welding, misc. fabrication, and customer architectural design.  NO job is too big or too small.  We offer walk-in service and have a team with strong problem solving skills bringing superior customer satisfaction.

We have two Boom Trucks available for rental usually with just a 24 hour notice.

Our goal is to provide our customers with superior quality and workmanship, exceeding their expectations.  With custom design we can work with you to bring your ideas and project top reality.

Located at 17 Rockville Street, Rockport Steel has been there since 1996, according to owner, William Glover. Before that it had been in Camden doing business as Hard Chine Engineering since 1980. And prior to that Glover was working out of his back yard.

Early on in the company's progression to its current Rockport Steel identity, Glover specialized in outfitting fishing boats with masts, drags and the other equipment necessary for scalloping. In addition, he built aluminum boats including skiffs, 20' aluminum outboards and a 30' sailboat.

In just a few short years, Glover's company now employs a staff of 14 each with his or her own specialty.
